IFAT 2024: KAISER presents several EV solutions for sewer cleaning

For a long time, electrification was a challenge in the sewer cleaning industry because of the high energy requirement involved. KAISER has resolved the technical issues and is showcasing its product portfolio of electric vehicles at IFAT 2024. Alongside the proven electric sewer cleaning vehicle AquaStar EV, the Liechtenstein company will be presenting a new development in the compact category.

AquaStar EV – the powerful vacuuming and jetting vehicle with water recycling

In 2022, KAISER launched the AquaStar EV as the world’s first electric sewer cleaning vehicle with water recycling. As a result of an exclusive collaboration with the chassis manufacturer Designwerk, the AquaStar currently boasts the highest battery capacity available on the market. In combination with high-performance power take-offs, this ensures a jetting capacity of 300 liters per minute and a vacuuming capacity of up to 3,100 m3/h. In the meantime, the first vehicles have been delivered and are already deployed in the field. The AquaStar EV will be on show at IFAT for the first time – indoors on the exhibition stand as well as live at the VAK Truck in Action Show.

CityCleaner EV – compact sewer cleaning EV for narrow streets and inner-city areas

With the CityCleaner EV, KAISER is showcasing a new product based on a Volvo two-axle chassis. The vacuuming and jetting vehicle is ideally suited to deployments in urban areas where space is limited. Thanks to a battery capacity of 450 kWh, the CityCleaner EV can work for 8 hours without the need to recharge. This vehicle is developed and manufactured at KAISER’s site in Finland. The ability to operate at low temperatures is therefore virtually programmed into the DNA of the CityCleaner EV.

Technology leader in electric sewer cleaning vehicles

In addition to the vehicles on show at IFAT, KAISER also offers other sewer cleaners as EV versions. “For a lot of private businesses and municipalities, it’s important to calculate their own corporate carbon footprint and to cut carbon emissions. We’re delighted to be the clear technology leader in the market with our EV portfolio and to be able to offer our customers genuine, track-proven solutions,” says KAISER Group CEO Markus Kaiser.

Prospects will have the opportunity to experience the electric vehicle along with other sewer cleaners live on KAISER’s exhibition stand (Hall C4, Stand 105/204).
